A nearly Fine clean copy professionally rebound, tipped-in Bookplate from previous owner. Barry's account of his 1834 Mont Blanc ascent was republished in this 1836 edition as a series of two lectures which expanded the text of the first edition by threefold. In addition, this Second Edition is particularly notable for a spectacular folding panorama of Mont Blanc, as well as fine colour versions of the two lithographs provided in the first edition.
